Allie and Gabe's wedding was wonderfully amazing.
The moment I arrived at Richwood on the River the morning of November 18th I felt so welcomed.
As Allie's friends were getting ready to stand by her side on her wedding day, Allie helped me gather up their rings, invitations and other accessories to get some fine detail shots. I explored the big, historic house to find the perfect spot! The warm hardwood floors, antique furniture, and beautiful windows made for an artistic composition.
I then joined Allie & her bridesmaids as they finished getting ready. Just being around them for an hour or so made it clear that they all have a strong bond. Friendship is such an important part of a wedding day!
As the day went on, there were many emotional moments. Allie had a first look with her father, and one with her grandmother. Love was overflowing.
Fast forward to ceremony time!
When Allie walked out of the house and onto the path up to the aisle, Gabe faced away until Allie reached the beginning of the aisle. Even as he looked ahead toward the mountainside as he waited, he could not contain his excitement and it was written all over his face!
As Allie approached and Gabe turned around it was evident that they have an amazing connection and share so much love.
This is what draws me to photograph weddings. Love is powerful, and it was bountiful at the Thurman wedding.
